WALLWORKS – CAMBRIDGESHIRE

We were approached by Wallworks who required the factory floor coated in an anti-slip coating.

The floor was very badly worn, there were some sections that had high amount of grease and oil which we had to remove before coating. We used a shot blast machine which abrades the floor removing existing floor coating and a thin layer of concrete.

After the floor preparation, we applied one coat of Oil Tolerant primer to help suppress any remaining oil in the concrete, this was then left to dry overnight.

We then applied 1 coat of Vebro EP DPM Primer applied as a binding coat.

The primer will grip the prepared concrete while performing as a bonding agent for the aggregate quartz anti slip additive (.0.3-0.8 mm Grit) which we broadcast onto the wet DPM installation.

When dry we will coat the entire area with the Universal coating in the colour of their choice.

The work was completed within 4 days

Testimonial

“We contacted DiamondResin flooring because we wanted a designated area clearly marked out for forklift truck operations. After discussing our needs on-site, it was agreed that this work would be carried out with minimal disruption to the factory operations – meaning that work was carried out over a factory shutdown. Once the concrete floor had been shot-blasted, it was cleaned and painted to a very high standard in red paint with yellow edging lines. The floor has been in constant use for over a year now, and it is still in very good condition and looks professional. We are now considering whether to paint the floors in other departments to bring them up to the same standard. I would definitely recommend DiamondResin flooring, and they would be my first choice for any future needs.”
